Milk kozhukkattai

Ingredients:
1.      Raw rice---1cup,
2.      Milk--- 1 Littre,
3.      Jaggery---300 gms,
4.      Chopped and fried cashewnuts---3teasp,
5.      Powdered cardamom---1/2 teasp,
6.      Coconut scrapings---1 cup.


Procedure:
·         Soak rice for 1 hour.
·         Wash the rice well and grind with coconut to a fine paste
·         Heat a pan ,add 1 teasp of ghee and add the rice paste
·         Stir well to avoid lump formation
·         Remove from stove after 15 minutes.
·         Knead the dough well and make it to pearl sized balls and keep aside.
·         Now boil the milk to rise up
·         Add the rice balls slowly with little gap in between and allow it to cook.
·         Once the balls are cooked they will come up
·         Now slowly add the jaggery to the milk mixture and allow it to simmer for                                     10 minutes.
·         When the jaggery is mixed well with milk remove from the stove.
·         Now add powdered cardamom,cashewnuts and 2 teasp of ghee and                                               servehot.
